ANSWER ABOUT PAGE NUMBERS
Okay...
Your cover page will not have a page number on it. But your first written page will have the number 2 in the corner of it. This is the correct way to type up a research paper.
ANSWER FOR DOUBLING SPACING
I'm glad you figured it out. For others. It is the same on both a MAC and PC.
Choose FORMAT (in between insert and tools)
Click on PARAGRAPH
Click on LINE SPACING
Choose DOUBLE
Voila.
